St. Mary's Public School updates its Schoolwide Title I-A Plan each year. For the 2023-24 school year, reading was determined to be the primary area of need to close the achievement gap between the school's Hispanic and Non-Hispanic students, as well as raising the bar for all students.

Multiple measures were analyzed and these translated into the following schoolwide goals:

  • Goal 1: By Spring 2024, 74% of St. Mary’s Hispanic students and 84% of Non-Hispanic students will rank as “Low Risk” on the EasyCBM Spring Reading Benchmark.
  • Goal 2: By Spring 2024, 80% of St. Mary’s students will rank as “Low Risk” on the EasyCBM Spring Reading Benchmark.
  • Goal 3: By Spring 2024, 85% of Hispanic and 85% of Non-Hispanic students will be scored as 50 or higher on the DESSA assessment.
  • Goal 4: By Spring 2024, 85% of St. Mary’s students will be scored as 50 or higher on the DESSA assessment.

The Schoolwide Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) for Title I-A can be found at the bottom of this page along with other key components of our Title I-A supported school.

At the end of each school year, St. Mary's engages in the ORIS comprehensive school needs assessment. The above goals align with ORIS domain 4 (Well-Rounded, Coordinated Learning Principles) and 5 (Inclusive Policy & Practice).
