ALL KIDS EAT FREE
Mt. Angel School District is eligible for another school year of Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
CEP means that all enrolled students of the Mt. Angel School District are eligible to receive one complete healthy breakfast and lunch at school for no charge to your household each school day of the 25-26 year. No further action is required of you. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay for meals or submit an application.
A hearty garden bar, fresh fruits and a variety of vegetables and sides are offered daily. We hope to inspire and encourage all students to make healthy choices regularly.
Things to know about Free Breakfast and Lunch Options
- Families no longer need to complete Free and Reduced lunch applications and submit them to the district.
- SNAP and Medicaid have allowed us to become CEP eligible, so families should continue to apply for those benefits as they always have.
- In order for a school breakfast or lunch to meet the USDA free meal criteria, the student must accept the whole meal which includes at least a 1/2 cup of fruits and/or vegetables.
- Students are not eligible to use CEP status for the purchase of ala carte items such as milk. If a student only accepts milk rather than a complete meal, the milk is not free and the student will be charged $0.50. Money must be available in your students account for ala carte items.
