Job Description
Job Title: ADVISOR (FBLA, HOSA, CLUBS, CLASS AND ACTIVITIES)
Reports To: Building Administrator

JOB SUMMARY
This position provides leadership in helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship and an increased level of self-esteem. To instruct student participants in a specific club or approved student group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
- Advise individual participants in the skills necessary for successful performance.
- Provide a positive learning environment for the student participants.
- Plan and schedule a regular program of activity in season in accordance with district policy and OSAA regulations (if applicable).
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Assist the activity director/administrator, when necessary, in scheduling club and student activities/events/contests.
- Coordinates and supervises fundraising.
- Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate.
- Maintain complete and accurate records as required (i.e. attendance forms, insurance records, inventory, etc.)
- Oversee the safety conditions of the facility/area in which assigned activity/event is conducted at all times, especially, when students are present.
- Establish performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in his/her activity.
- Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
- Assume primary responsibility for scheduling and preparation of area event is to be held.

- Maintain satisfactory attendance, as defined in District policy and regulations.
- Establishes and clarifies acceptable standards for student behavior and demonstrates effective student management skills during all activity sessions/events.

MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY
The Attendance Specialist works with students, staff and the surrounding community to reduce student absenteeism to ensure all students are on track to graduate and prepared for life beyond high school. This position is responsible for disseminating information, developing plans, monitoring data and supporting school efforts to reduce student absenteeism.

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinating the high school’s efforts in supporting students, along with staff and families, in effort to assist students in being knowledgeable about post-secondary options and meeting the requirements to achieve their goals. This staff member reports directly to and receives evaluation from the building principal or designee. Work is monitored throughout the year.

- Promotes student enrollment in CTE, college-level, and AP/IB courses to ensure preparation in meeting post-secondary goals.
- Tracks post-secondary data for seniors, including but not limited to scholarships, post-secondary pathways, college applications and acceptances.
- Attends and participates in regular meetings with the College & Career teachers and AVID Coordinators as needed.
- Coordinates and plans CCR events in conjunction with community partners that promote professional and post-secondary skills.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for bookkeeping, accounting procedures and cash management for the Associated Student Body (ASB) accounts. This position handles daily work pressures, requiring constant concentration to a volume of work which must be completed within a limited period of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Completes a high volume of computer work, using District computer programs, to input high volumes of data with speed and accuracy, including confidential data, in an environment with constant interruptions.
- Types a variety of materials from brief verbal or written instructions.
- Researches, creates, inputs, organizes, and edits relevant data as needed or requested and prepares in a usable format.
- Maintains accurate technology inventory lists and facilitates all tech distribution, collection and repairs for staff and students.
- Student testing preparation including: supplies, tech needs and room setup.
- New staff onboarding.
- Completes and maintains registration and withdrawal information of individual students as required, including, but not limited to: fees and free and reduced lunch documents.
- Issues all building keys and maintains accurate key inventory.
- Performs secretarial duties for the Athletic Department including registration, tracking student physicals and maintaining the athletic calendars for the district.
- Prepares requisitions for staff reimbursements, purchase orders, and school orders.
- Assists in budget preparations and reviews general budget reports monthly.
- Prepares bank deposits, reconciles school accounts, and completes bookkeeping for school accounts.
- Maintains an accurate inventory system and orders supplies for the building.
- Maintains substitute teacher system and coordinates coverage for any unfilled positions; prepares and maintains substitute timesheets.
- Provides first aid to injured or ill students and assists with health screenings.
- Processes and maintains employee leave forms.
- Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, staff, and students.
- Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
- Complies with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
- Attends work regularly and is punctual.
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY
Transporting students to and from school and other activities in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Wellness Coordinator ensures effective district-wide implementation of the Mt. Angel School District Wellness Grant. The Coordinator designs, implements and provides technical assistance to schools around grant activities and initiatives to promote the health and well-being of staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work directly with the Special Services Director regarding purchasing.
- Obtain district-level administrative buy-in for Healthy Schools that includes ongoing monitoring of the Wellness Policy.
- Coordinate and attend the District Wellness Committee.
- In conjunction with the Wellness Committee, recommend changes to district-level policies related to school employee health and wellness, including physical education/activity and nutrition, and recommend updates to them based on the most recent requirements.
- Work with the Food Service Manager to ensure alignment of school-level work with district-level health and wellness policies, including but not limited to local wellness policy, federal guidelines, physical activity, Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, and Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Standards.
- Support district and school-level implementation and support enforcement of policies related to school health and wellness, including physical education/activity and nutrition. Review staff surveys to develop wellness activities.
- Support schools in the development of School Health Improvement Plans that enhance school health and wellness and annually submit plans to the Board of Education including implementation timelines.
- Provide support to the Wellness Champions in the areas of technical assistance and implementation of the Wellness grant and programs.
- Participate in professional development events related to school employee wellness.
- Assist the Special Services Director in collection and submission of appropriate school-level and district level data including grant funding and required reports.
- Monitor the Grant Action Plan and budget in coordination with the Special Services Director to ensure progress towards goals.
- Contribute to district-level grant funding to support the Wellness Policy and assist schools with school level funding opportunities.
- Work with the Wellness Committee to develop a district-level sustainability plan.
- Seek out partnerships with other school and community health initiatives to build awareness and support for health and wellness across the district.
- Maintain records and share successes with staff, administrators, school board members, parents and community members.
- Report to the school board twice per year.
