BUDGET COMMITTEE VACANCY NOTICE

Budget Committee Position

Application Deadline: April 24, 2026

Positions: School Board appointed Budget Committee Positions

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a Mt. Angel resident for one year preceding appointment and a registeredvoter of the district.
  • No person who is an employee of the Mt. Angel School District is eligible to serve on the budgetcommittee.

Duration of Appointment: Three year term or to complete the term of a vacated position.

Duties: In a series of public meetings, the Budget Committee meets to review, discuss, consider additions or deletions to and approve the proposed budget presented by the budget officer. Upon completion or deliberations by the committee, the budget is recommended to the board for final approval.

How to apply: Submit a completed candidate application form.

Desirable Qualifications: Active participation in school or community activities, ability to collaborate and solve problems in a positive manner, willingness to review district budget materials and ability to attend budget committee meetings and budget work sessions. No experience needed.

Positions Open: Position 2 – Term Expires 6.30.2026

Additional Information: Applications must be received by the deadline of Friday April 24th at 5:00pm. Vacancy posted can be extended until position is filled. The board will review candidates the week of April 27th. The board will announce appointment at the May 11, 2026 Board Meeting.
