Dear Mt. Angel Community,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of the Mt. Angel School District. It is with great enthusiasm that I step into this role, and I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and excitement in being able to serve in a community rich in the tradition of putting kids first. There are so many wonderful things happening here and I am excited to continue the tradition of strong education and community involvement. 

One of the qualities that drew me to Mt. Angel was the very clear priority of putting students at the heart of our work and decision making. Throughout my 26 years as an educator, administrator, and leader, I have remained grounded in a belief that every student deserves an excellent education in an environment where they flourish. I look forward to bringing that same belief to the work we will do together in Mt. Angel.

As I begin this journey, I plan to spend my first few months listening and learning. I want to understand what makes this district special, what challenges we face, and what aspirations we share for the future. I will be engaging with students, families, educators, staff, and community partners to build strong relationships and learn more about what makes our schools and community great.

I look forward to meeting many of you in the weeks and months ahead, and I welcome your thoughts, ideas, and hopes for the future of our schools.
