American Education Week, November 13^th to the 17^th

Dear Mt. Angel Families, Students and Community Members,

Next week is American Education Week, a time set aside to acknowledge the many significant contributions our district staff make in the educational lives of your child/ren . Our bus drivers, assistants, kitchen staff, office staff, classroom teachers, custodians, coaches, and administrators put student well -being and learning first and foremost.

I am both personally and professionally grateful for the dedication our staff members demonstrate each day, working collaboratively to meet student needs.

Would you consider taking a moment to write a special note of gratitude to a staff member or two next week? You can send a message with your child any day next week. A card, a letter, an email, even a scrap of paper with a heartfelt message will do. The words of thanks received confirm that we truly make a difference in the lives of children. Even after more than 30 years in education, I still save letters and cards from parents and reread them when I have had an especially challenging day. Your words can make a difference .

Thank you for supporting our school staff members. Each person works their very hardest to ensure that your child/ren's school experience is the best it can be. You can make their special week more meaningful with a simple recognition .
