O'Fest Volunteers

  • We Love Our Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of the Mt. Angel School District Oktoberfest Doughboy Booth. As a volunteer, you are our face to the community throughout the year, and to tens of thousands that come to enjoy Mt. Angel Oktoberfest every September.

The District’s Doughboy Booth proceeds go to great use. The main purpose of fundraising is to fund scholarships to qualified JFK High School graduating senior students, additionally, each of our three schools receives donations from the booth that can be used at their discretion. They have been used to fund fieldtrips, to bring in special speakers and events, etc. For example, the elementary school has used the funds to help purchase brand new playground equipment, the middle school has purchased items for the Robotics Club, and the high school has funded transportation for students to visit the Holocaust museum in Portland.

If you are interested in volunteering for a shift in the School District’s Doughboy Booth please contact Martha James at 503-551-8201 or email martha49er@hotmail.com.
