St. Mary's Public School updates its Schoolwide Title I Plan each year.  At the beginning of the school year, we had our leadership and teachers at St. Mary's complete the annual monitoring the Schoolwide Title I plan that governs the Title I programs.

From this process, six Indicators were identified as priority goals for the 2017-18 school year.

  • The school's leadership will plan for and implement professional development preparing teachers to support parents in the education of their children by providing in-classroom opportunities and at-home opportunities for parents.
  •  All teachers will use instructional strategies and initiatives that are grounded in evidence-based practices, strengthen the core academic program, increase the quality and quantity of learning time, and address the learning needs of all students.
  • School staff will create and maintain connections between the school community and the broader community to support student learning.
  • School leadership will include families on all decision-making and advisory committees and ensures training for such areas as policy, curriculum, budget, school reform initiatives, and safety.
  • All instructional staff at the school will be engaged in aligning instruction and local assessments to state standards.
  • School leadership will facilitate a needs assessment based on student achievement and the key areas of effectiveness (technical and adaptive leadership, educator effectiveness, teaching and learning, district and school structure and culture, and family and community involvement).
